Journaling Your Pulls for Growth

🌙 Luna Rose
You've been pulling cards. You've tried spreads. Now let's talk about the secret weapon that turns casual tarot into a genuine spiritual practice: JOURNALING. Here's why journaling matters: tarot is a relationship, and like all relationships, it deepens with attention. When you write down your pulls, you create a record of your spiritual journey. Over weeks and months, patterns emerge that you could never see in the moment. YOUR TAROT JOURNAL STRUCTURE: For each entry, include: 1. DATE & TIME 2. THE QUESTION you asked 3. THE CARD(S) you pulled 4. YOUR FIRST IMPRESSION — the feeling, the image that caught your eye (before looking up meanings) 5. THE TRADITIONAL MEANING from the library or guidebook 6. YOUR INTERPRETATION — what you think it means for your situation 7. ONE ACTION — what you'll do with this insight today That's it. Seven lines. It takes five minutes and it will transform your practice. WEEKLY REVIEW: Every Sunday, look back at your week of pulls. Ask yourself: • Did any card repeat? (Repeating cards are messages you haven't fully received yet.) • Was there a dominant suit or element? (What was that area of your life asking for?) • Did any prediction or insight come true? How? • Which reading felt most accurate? What made it feel that way? MONTHLY REVIEW: At the end of each month, look at the bigger picture: • Which Major Arcana cards appeared most? What life theme were they highlighting? • Did your interpretations become more accurate over the month? • What shifted in your life that the cards seemed to anticipate? THE DEEP TRUTH: Tarot journaling is not about becoming a better fortune teller. It's about becoming more self-aware. Every card you pull is a mirror. Every journal entry is a conversation with yourself. Over time, you'll notice that the cards aren't just reflecting your life — they're helping you understand it. And that understanding? That's where the real magic lives. Congratulations, beautiful soul. You've completed Tarot 101. You now have the foundation to read cards for yourself with confidence. But this is just the beginning. The Fool's Journey continues — every day, with every pull. Welcome to the family. 🌹

Practice Exercise

Create your tarot journal today. It can be a notebook, a note app, or a journal — whatever feels right. Do your first official journal entry with today's pull using the 7-line structure above. Then set a weekly alarm for Sunday to do your first weekly review.

Reflection Question

What has changed in you since Lesson 1? How do you feel about tarot now compared to when you started? Write it all down — this is the beginning of your spiritual record.
